Each year members of the Patchwork Group (Fabric Floozies) at Tweed Unlimited Arts work together on a project to benefit local charities in our area.
Last winter the group made rugs which were distributed to homeless charities.
This year Meals on Wheels clients are the beneficiaries of their hard work.
190 placemats have been made for this organization, hopefully to add a little sparkle to some of our citizens.
In the photo Chris Watt Manager of Meals on Wheels at Kingscliff is presented with 170 for clients from the border to Pottsville, by members of this productive and talented group of ladies.
The placemats will be distributed with meals to Chris’s clients who use this service.
The rest of the placemats will be on display with other works from the groups at Tweed Unlimited Arts Annual Open Weekend 25/ 26th June, then delivered to Meals on Wheels.
