Tweed Unlimited Arts Inc. is a not for profit organisation that is run by members of our various groups. Founded in 1971, it has always been our aim to share and to encourage people from the Tweed Heads, Banora area interested in the arts. We presently have members from Murwillumbah, the Gold Coast, Kingscliff, Cabarita and Pottsville.
Over the years there have been many groups enjoying art and craft of all descriptions. At the moment we have nine separate groups each meeting on a different day. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there are painting groups catering for all disciplines. Tuesday is the day for the Potters with the Spinners and Weavers meeting in the Cottage on Tuesday and the also on Friday. We now have four new groups. They are Creative Fibre Art, meeting on Mondays: Thursday we have Needles and Pinza where various forms of needle work and mixed crafts are held: Patchwork and Quilting meeting on Fridays: and Cake Decorating meeting every 2nd Saturday and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
TUA does not provide classes, however each group organises their own workshops and outings.
